The UK’s attractive secret agent is back.
Not long after making a short appearance in the opening of the Summer Olympics in London escorting Queen Elizabeth to the most extravagant athletic event of the year, James Bond thrilled moviegoers with “Skyfall” and everybody once again took note of every little thing Bond used and wore throughout the film-from the suit, to the vehicle, cuff links and of course, the shades.
Prior to the showing of “Skyfall,” much attention was already given to designer, Tom Ford’s participation to the motion picture. Sexy Tom Ford sun shades, TF 144 Marko PV Silver, were part of James Bond’s ordinary attire for most of the film, and even for campaigns, the actor Daniel Craig tried to stay within character and sported these unique protective spectacles to express that much-beloved James Bond style.
The Aviator-ish design of the TF 144 Marko worked appropriately against the present Bond actor’s strong facial structure; it has the best form and dimensions to highlight Craig’s exceptional jawline. Apart from this, the color and material of choice efficiently dragged together the sleek look that James Bond has always been seen to have.
What’s even more enticing with this specific style is that it has flexibility - similar to the present James Bond; it’s not like most of the sun shades today that really just look like defensive eye wear. The TF 144 Marko’s frames can also be used for prescription purposes, as reading glasses and varifocals. Optical experts also mention that the teardrop-oval form of the frames can be used by many girls and males because the proportions were thoroughly determined by the designer to be appropriate for most facial figures and measurements. It’s uncertain if Tom Ford made the Marko to reflect the prominent qualities of the current James Bond - someone who’s powerful, enthusiast, drop-dead attractive in an unconventional way, cool, dry and strong - but one thing’s for sure, this style works exceptionally well.
The desire for these glasses was high even before the film arrived on the scene, proving once more that James Bond is not only a well known, charismatic movie character, but also that he’s truly an essential style icon that men admire and prefer to emulate. Obviously, it would be a complete stretch to expect average guys to drip the exact same degree of charm James Bond has when he has his Tom Ford Marko sunglasses on, but men can surely expect the defensive eye wear to proficiently improve their appearance.
